So, how does one inaugurate a journal?

I could certainly talk about the previous two days spent with my in-laws, who brought along my husband's brother to their first visit to their granddaughter in order to force said husband to speak to said brother with whom he had not spoken in several years. But, you know, there are some things that are just too unbelievable to talk about.
