Weekly Linkspam and NaNoWriMo
Nov. 26th, 2006 08:51 pmLinkspam: The Firefox Edition
Most of you who are using Firefox seemed to be aware of the awesomeness that is the Greasemonkey script for unfolding LJ threads, but just in case:
The aforementioned Greasemonkey extension
Thread Unfolder script for Greasemonkey
Thread Unfolder script with the "Unfold All" addition (If you install this one you need to uninstall the original)
For
vaklam and
melissagay and anyone else who accesses multiple LJ accounts from the same computer, there's the LJLogin extension. It allows you to switch from one account to another via pop-up menu, without having to leave the page you're on. Very nifty.
In Other News
In other news, a follow-up of sorts to
dement1a's post about the Save Wal-Mart campaign. Another group called off their protest after Wal-Mart issued a statement saying that they "will not make corporate contributions to support or oppose highly controversial issues unless they directly relate to our ability to serve our customers." In other words:
Protesters: Wal-Mart supports icky gay marriage! And the radical gay agenda! Whatever that is!
Wal-Mart: Uh, no, actually. We're concerned with equality in the workplace, and we're going to continue to do exactly what it was that we were doing in the first place. Which, by the way, has nothing at all to do with gay marriage, you morons.
Protesters: We win!
NaNoWriMo Update

Yes, I fell behind this weekened. Like, way behind. I did get some writing done, about 5,000 words, but in order to finish I'll need to do about 3,000 a day (though that doesn't count today--anything I produce for the rest of today will bring that total down). This is perfectly doable, but my sister and my mother will be here on Tuesday, my sister is spending Tuesday night with me, and Wednesday is a day in which it's very, very difficult for me to get any writing done before evening. Still, there's always Monday and Thursday, and I'm still thinking that I can get this done without having to pull an all-nighter or anything.

Post-Saturday Night Linkspam
Nov. 19th, 2006 03:53 pmFor
shadowmancer_x (and anyone else who sees this, who, as we also discussed last night, is potentially everyone on the planet who now has--or might have in the future--access to the internet), here are links to the Order of the Phoenix trailers:
Ten-second trailer teaser from The Leaky Cauldron
Full trailer hosted on YouTube, advertised as lacking "some guy's head in the way."
And, for the sake of completeness, the aforementioned trailer with some guy's head in the way.
There are also, I think, some screencaps of the trailer teaser at The Leaky Cauldron, but I don't have direct links.
Enjoy, fellow citizens!
